3 Items to Remove from Your Bedroom for Better Sleep
Your bedroom is so much more than just a room where you place your bed.
The ideal bedroom has the right mood to it – not only for sleep but for unwinding and relaxation as well.
Naturally, what’s in your bedroom plays a huge part in how your bedroom feels.
Here are a few things you may want to consider removing from the bedroom - and we’ve added some ideas with what you can replace them with!
Ditch the TV
You’ve heard this advice hundreds of times and we have to agree with it: your TV is probably doing you more harm than good in the bedroom.
Apart from blue light disrupting your sleep, the TV may take away from the peace and serenity of the bedroom.
Try instead: A simple, minimalistic bookcase with some carefully picked books; a classic drawer with plants on it; or just keep a plain wall, if you’d love to skip hoarding more items.
Is your charger dangling from your bedside table? We know – some of us do this too!
Not only it may look messy, sleeping next to your phone nearby isn’t exactly great.
Move your charging station to some of the other rooms and while you’re at it, leave your phone outside the bedroom too. You’d be surprised to notice just how much your sleep improves.
Try this instead: A good old alarm clock is more than anything you’d need. Keep a notepad close if you want to have a place to write down ideas without reaching for your phone!
Clutter!Is your bedroom corner full of things you don’t really use? Perhaps you own The Chair – a piece of furniture full of clothing?
Clutter might cause your brain to feel more anxious and thus prevent you from falling asleep.
Keeping the bedroom more minimalist and clutter-free may help you with your insomnia.
Try this instead: A place for everything and everything in its place, as Marie Kondo would say it! The fewer items you have in it, the easier it’s going to be for your brain to relax and sleep!
