5 Healthy & Simple Breakfast Ideas

Ah, breakfast.
That one meal of the day everyone would love to eat but rarely anyone manages to.

But with the right planning – and the right recipes – a healthy breakfast isn’t that far out of reach.

Save the morning feasts for the weekend. During the weekday, keep it simple to maintain consistency.

Here are some breakfast ideas that are healthy, pretty simple to recreate at home, and can be whipped together in minutes! *or the night before*

Save the morning feasts for the weekend.

Here are some breakfast ideas that are healthy, pretty simple to recreate at home, and can be whipped together in minutes! *or the night before*

Superfood Smoothie Bowl

Superfood smoothie bowls are super low-effort but super-delicious.

Just whip together some fruit, milk of choice, a spoon of superfood, and sprinkle with your favourite toppings. Homemade granola or lightly tossed seeds are amazing for an extra crunch!

And should we mention that with the right ingredients, one bowl may be exactly what you need to boost both your energy levels and immune system? Doesn’t get any better than that.

Our team loves the berry bowls – bring on the vitamin C! – but if you’re stuck for ideas, here’s something that may help.

Veggie Omelette

Omellets are an all-time breakfast favourite.

Adding veggies to your omellet really kicks things up a notch. Add as little – or as much – as you’d like: bell peppers, onions, spinach, tomatoes… and even peas! Pair with a wholegrain toast on the side and watch how your performance peaks.

And the best part?

Not only is a veggie omellet full of protein, it’s also jam-packed with fibers (hello, more serotonin!), which makes taking your five-a-day a lot easier.

Breakfast Cookies

If you’re one of those people who can’t work an appetite in the morning, then lo and behold: breakfast cookies!

Now, even though there isn’t anything coherently wrong with traditional cookies, the one we recommend are flour-less, sugar-free, AND loaded with strawberries.

Oatmeal cups

There’s nothing wrong with porridge but if you’d like to shake things up a bit, oatmeal cups are an easy alternative that’s ideal for meal prep.

On top of that, there are tons of dairy-free and gluten-free alternatives out there.
Some of the options we’ve loved include:

Pro tip: Feel free to customize your own oatmeal cups and add ingredients to your flavour!

Protein Breakfast Bars

Need breakfast on the go? Then protein bars are going to be your next favourite thing – they’re easy to prep, even easier to take on the go, and can be customized to fit your diet!

What’s even more, the protein in it means you’ll stay satiated well until lunchtime.

Here’s a vegan + paleo alternative and a peanut butter gluten-free one. *we can’t decide which one’s better*

What’s your favourite breakfast that’s not only healthy but easy to make?
